We are so blessed!
Anyways, just wanted to share the GREAT news!
P.S and if that wasn't enough....we just learned that they (the job) will provide good work boots, and prescription eye protection!
Is anyone decorating for Fall yet? I've been working on my house in spurts all weekend. Alas, I'm still not done yet. I will post a link to my photo album and blog when I'm done. I also bought some apples to make carmel apples with my kids.

Hobby Lobby had some 40% off Fall sales this week, I picked up some more pumpkins, leaves and mums.
Raising a child in his natural bend

Sometimes I know in my head what I want to say but I cannot actually type the words down to make sense but I am going to give it my best shot.
So I have been thinking about this scripture
Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it" (NIV).
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go
[and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old
he will not depart from it.(AMP)

In my thinking about this subject I found this webpage http://www.abible.com/devotions/2005/20050221-0845.html and it makes me think about the natural bent or the natural gifting God has put with our children and how we raise then within that natural gift. and even how to know what that gift is..

I'd love just to natter among ourselves about it all till maybe it might be come clearer to me exactly what I want to know or what I am asking the Lord{cause I don't exactly know what my question for God is yet}

Am I too late?

I joined a group called Ruby Moms because their emails come straight to your email. However they have over 100 emails a day and I couldn't keep up and I fell in love with the ladies but I was removed because I couldn't spend 10 + hours a day on the computer because I have a family and a home to keep.

I felt I was too late to come back here - but I got a couple of precious emails asking me to come back! So, I did. But I really need to know - have I been gone too long?

My FIL has cancer. (thus the reason I was kicked out of the other group - not enough time spent on email and you can't be there with the Christian ladies if you are "going through something." so they removed me) His cancer is in his lymph nodes, Stage 2, and the doctor says it is the fastest growing and does not look good. The moderator there said that meant I was going through something thus I had to go. These were beautiful Christian ladies. I had gone that route because I got the emails through email... not a forum. I love the forum here but it rarely works for me. I can't get in and then when I DO, I can reply to ONE of the messages and that's it. (SORRY RADIANA it wouldn't let me reply to you) ughhhh.

PLEASE, be honest, and let me know how you all feel about me being here....again.
Love, Cass

Teach Me Your Ways Bible Study Discussion

Good afternoon, Ladies! I hope you all were able to carve out some quiet time to meet with our God this week! I really enjoyed studying the story of Jacob and Esau. I have heard this story since I was a little girl in Sunday School and I have to confess: I always felt sorry for Esau! The poor guy was completely swindled by his brother…whose name means “liar,” by the way! I knew it was dumb to trade your birthright for a bowl of stew, but still, it seemed that the punishment was far more severe than the crime. That is, until I really spent some time studying this story.

God intended the eldest son’s birthright to be a guarantee that a parent wouldn’t play “favorites” by creating a law that a double portion of a father’s inheritance be passed on to his eldest son—regardless of whether that son was a product of a love match or an arranged marriage. A double share of your father’s property would be quite the inheritance (particularly if he were as wealthy as Issac); not something one would take for granted! But as we learned this week, Esau did not treasure this gift that would one day be coming from his father. He was driven by immediate gratification not future reward—to the point that he would rather satisfy his immediate need for food by trading in his future inheritance than take a little time to cook something himself and keep all the riches that would one day be his rightful share! Think about that. Esau gave up all of his future security for a bowl of stew!

But before we get too carried away mocking Esau’s foolishness, we need to remember how often we have done the same thing (or at least been very tempted to do so)! We too have been given a precious birthright by our father, the King of the Universe! When we came to know Him, He called us his child and gave us an amazing gift: eternal life! (Gal. 4:7; Rom. 6:23) Yet many of us have treated it just as insignificantly as Esau. We find ourselves willing to trade eternity for the momentary pleasures of this world –whether it be a promiscuous relationship, material gain, the approval of others, etc. I can look back with shame on times in my life when I was willing to set aside all that God intended for me in order to have a fleeting bit of pleasure in the present. I felt that I could justify it (at least if I didn't think about it too deeply) at the time, but when I recall it now, I feel just as stupid as Esau!

Instant gratification is a strong pull, but I encourage you ladies to continue to hold out for the treasures that God is storing up for you—treasures that will not deteriorate, but will give you gratification for an eternity! (Matt. 6:19,20) When you are tempted to give in to the needs of the present, ask God for the strength to continue tightly holding on to your birthright. I can promise that you will never regret it!

Hi Girls

I have been MIA for a looooong time. But I do check in and see what you clever girls are up to. I love you posts, your creativity and love of life, so I have to peek. You all warm my spirit. I offer up prayers when needed. Just been busy slowing down and appreciating some simple things. Haven't blogged much either. I spent my summer walking 4 miles, 5 days a week, getting to know a niece a bit better, redoing a bedroom and lovin' my family. Spent more time with God and talking to him. Spent LOTS of time in my garden and now canning my bounty. Life has been good. I'm patiently waiting for Autumn to officially arrive with all its beauty. But I wanted you to know that I think of you often.

I figured that the best way for me to help DH is to work on the grocery budget and reducing what we spend on food and genral shopping ie toothpaste, washing powder. Can you please suggest any frugal tips or ideas ? We rarely eat out and cook most of our food from scratch so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Blessings,
S x
